About KK Wong

Born and raised in Hong Kong, KK Wong is the Co-founder of Xiaomi Technology, Director of Xiaomi Foundation and former Head of Xiaomi Explore Lab, where he was responsible for Mi cloud, AIoT platform, and Mi Router/VR business unit.

​Graduated from Purdue University in Computer Science, KK has spent 14 years in Microsoft since 1997. He built the data analysis system and workflow system of BizTalk in Seattle, then was responsible for the instant messaging, camera/media applications and cellular core framework in Windows Mobile and Windows Phone 7 in Microsoft China. In 2010, KK co-founded Xiaomi with Mr. Lei-Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi and other partners. KK was responsible for Cloud platform, Mi Router, VR headset(co-develop with the Meta Oculus team), IOT and AI platform in Xiaomi. KK is now the Director of Xiaomi Foundation.
